About Dr. Carlos A. López Collado, M.D.
Board-Certified Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon
Dr. Carlos Alberto López Collado, M.D., is a graduate of Universidad Pedro
Henriquez Ureña (UNPHU), obtaining his Medical Doctor degree
in 1998. After graduation, he joined the staff of UNPHU and began teaching
for both the School of Medicine and the Department of Biology.
Dr. López has always made community service an important part of his
life. Since 1992, he has volunteered his time to help the Dominican Red
Cross as a member of a team of AIDS and HIV medical investigators.
In 1999, Dr. López obtained a degree in International Public Health
from the National School of Health at Institute Carlos III in Madrid, Spain.
He then served as a General Surgeon in the Marcilio Dias Naval Hospital,
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from 2001-2003. In 2003, he joined the Plastic Surgery
Clinic of Fluminense in the city of Niterói. Working with the
world-renowned Professor Dr. Ronaldo Pontes, who is known for his
contributions to Facial Rejuvenation Plastic Surgery, Dr. López stood
apart from his colleagues by his high level of dedication, humanitarian
efforts and high level of responsibility. Recognizing these qualities, he
was invited to join the select staff of the Plastic Surgery Residents of the
Fluminense Clinic, where he remained for approximately 5 years.
Dr. López presently serves as a Plastic Surgeon in the Dr. Félix
Maria Goico Hospital in the Dominican Republic. His private practice is
established in the prestigious Center of Plastic Surgery and Liposculpture.
